This buttercream birthday cake design was two three-layer-tiers of Wedding Cake flavor sponge filled with Vanilla Swiss Meringue Buttercream. The Ombre’ ruffles were piped in the same frosting as the filling. The ruffles were then lightly dusted with edible glitter. Next, the white chocolate snowflakes were added. The snowflakes were hand-piped from melted and tinted white chocolate that was sprinkled with edible glitter while they were still wet. The giant number three on top is also piped white chocolate and was made the same way the snowflakes were. Elsa is an edible image fused to fondant. I added some slight sculpting to give here dimension. She was also painted with edible glitter and accents were added to her hair.
